About nuCamp
TAG teardrop trailers, TAB teardrop campers, TAB clamshell campers, TAB 400 teardrop campers, and Cirrus truck campers.
nuCamp began in 2005 as a small Ohio teardrop builder called Pleasant Valley Teardrop Trailers, took over the TAB name, and adopted the nuCamp badge in 2016. Every trailer and truck camper is still built by hand in Sugarcreek, in the heart of Ohio Amish country. The engineering leans on aluminum framing, Azdel composite sidewalls and one-piece rolled aluminum roofs, so these compact campers stay light, resist moisture and hold their shape season after season.
Towing one is the appeal: a TAG or TAB follows a mid-size SUV without drama, sets up quickly and still delivers a real bed, a galley and, in the larger layouts, a wet bath. Couples and solo travellers gravitate here, while the Cirrus truck campers suit anyone who wants a camper that comes off the truck. When comparing, look at dry weight against your tow rating, cabin height, and how much of the year you plan to camp.
