The first Allegro rolled out of Red Bay, Alabama in the winter of 1972, and Bob Tiffin's company has been building motorhomes in that small town ever since. Coaches are still assembled there across Class A gas and diesel, Class C and Class B van formats, with an in-house paint facility handling full-body finishes. Welded aluminum superstructures in the floor, walls and roof underpin the build, and Tiffin claims industry firsts including the triple-slide motorhome in 1997.

Ownership tends to revolve around Red Bay itself, where the Bob Tiffin Service Center runs dozens of service bays and independent shops cluster nearby. Buyers are typically couples and full-timers who want residential interiors, quiet diesel power and a long-haul chassis, with the Wayfarer serving those who want something smaller on a Sprinter.
